Add and I have been working a lot on making our program better and more helpful. We get a lot of great emails from you guys, but we got a really “heart warming” email that we’d love to share with you. When we see that this program makes a real difference in real people’s lives, it makes us keep going. I hope you find this story as inspiring as we did. It was a great Christmas and New year’s present for us here at the 232.
It’s from a 26 year old Korean girl named Yoon Ji. (Thanks for sharing this with us Yoon Ji!)
Here is what she wrote to us a couple days ago:
“Hi Andy and Add,
I hope you get my email so you can know what a help you have been for me. Please don’t feel you should respond to me, I just hope you read this. I have been listened to your podcasts for about a half a year while in my car. My good friend recommend them to me so I tried. I listened to many free ones and I enjoy them and learn many things from you. I can feel it was slowly helping me with my speaking, listening, and confidence. Like many Korean people, I learned English in a boring way in school. I did not have any foreign friends so my speaking sucked before you guys entered my life.
I really want most to learn Business English because I want to earn a high salary in my job and have a more interesting work experience. I did work in marketing in Seoul for 3 years already. I sometimes need to speak on the phone with native English speakers and I often need to write business Emails. That’s why I was so interested in your email writing course for business English. I wanted to tell you my true story. I bought your VIP lessons about 6 weeks ago. I think the big reason was not only for the VIP lessons but also for to get the email course you mention on your business English page. I read all of it in 3 days and practice all the advice you gave me. I can’t believe it! Last week 2 customers were very happy with my communication with them. They told my manager and I got a good raise in salary. They think my English is getting better fast because I am working hard to study. They don’t know the truth. I want you to know the truth. Dear Andy and Add,
I can totally understand that dear Korean girl, I feel like her too, though I didn’t get a raise in my salary, but my communication and confidence is way better now, I am listening to your free and VIP podcast for almost 2 years. I finished and repeat free ones and 80 lessons of VIP are done now. There may be a gap during this 2 years, but most of the time I listen to you. specially when I am doing some thing boring I make it useful by listening to you,, for example while doing housework drudgery and cooking and also when I am walking out on the treadmill, i fell much better and don’t sense passage of the time. you really changed my life and I owe you. I think you are not being thanked enough and deserve to be more thanked. Love you, You are Great!!!

Congratulation Yoon!!
I just want to say your sound guys is “heart warming” for all listeners. I always listen to your podcast and I think it is very interesting to learn some slang terms which native speakers use. I found your lesson very fruitful and informative. Like other members, teaching English is somewhat boring at school or even at Private institutes in my country. They teach one thing and we face other thing in real world of native speakers. But you guys are real teacher and makes people believe themselves with your great lesson.
Now I can say, listening more and more to china 232 is my new year “RESOLUTION”.

I have problem to subscribe VIP membership throgh ituen. you said to go to My Secure RSS in the profile section to get url link, but when I click on My Secure RSS there is a huge mess. I can’t see my VIP membership at all. Please let me!!
BTW, you are the shit. Your program and episodes are awesome! I was looking for such a this program for two years. WOW, now I feel so confident in public. I bought your 100 lesson too and I am listening to them recently. I use it a lot with my friend and when they use it I can get them.
But Andrew, please help me to download VIP episodes by my iTune.

The only think I do not like much here is sort of hidden advertisement to “laziness”.
You claim it often indirectly as a kind of cool harmless trait of character. Lots of celebrities do this, unfortunately. I hate this my moralistic preach but in my excerience the laziness is like poison rapidly spreading especially among young generation (have 2 adult sons, lazy to hell). I mean you inadvertently broadcast (among other superb stuff) a hidden affirmation “lazy = cool” and the listeners receive it in the back of their minds. I am sure you always a bit exaggerate about your real laziness otherwise you guys wont come up with your new business activities etc…
I hope you won’t cancel my VIP membership }:)

Hello everybody,
It’s wonderful to read real success stories of other people. And it’s so cool that you guys help other people to achieve this success! Nowadays more and more people think about earning money and don’t think whether they do anything good to people or not. You do help other people and it’s great if you earn money by doing it. And what I really like about you is that you enjoy what you are doing here. I mean that some people hate their job, they do it just for money, isn’t it horrible? Or others earn money but they don’t do any good to the society, for example they work for tobacco companies or advertize something that is really not so good and they know it, that is they deceive others.
Milan, it was great to read your thoughts about laziness. I also have two sons, they are pre-school kids, and they are so lazy sometimes. Children have so many toys nowadays, but they are getting more and more lazy, and it’s not only my oppinion. Today each new generation is more lazy than their parents and grandparents. People want to have as much as possible and do nothing or next to nothing. Yes, and I am much lazier than my mom:)

Do you have VIP class or cattle class (based on one your lessen ,lol)? I can’t download my VIP episodes on my iTunes! Why don’t you reply my email?
Although your episodes are awesome and this is what I need to be fluent in English, you will go nowhere soon if you don’t have a good customer service.

Since I became a VIP member a few days ago, I’ve been listening to your VIP lessons everyday whenever I’m doing. I am really enjoying listening to your lesson and sometimes when I’m on the train,I suddenly laugh alone.I’m sure I am the weird woman from other passengers. lol
Anyway,Thank you very much again for such wonderful lessons. I will keep listening and hope my English will improve a lot this year!

Please, in the text you mentioned the word “emails”, in plural i mean. Is this grammatical correct?
Because i read this word has no plural, cause it is an uncount noun.
Am i right?
