Learn English Fast – Attitude – Make it a MUST

Add and I are making a series about how to learn English FAST.  The reality is that learning a really high level of English (like a real native speaker) is a life long process.  No matter how good (or bad) your English currently is, you can always improve it.  Even native speakers can keep improving, and they should.  A lot of them sound like idiots when they speak, and that isn’t helping their lives!  But that’s another story…

I’ve realized that no matter how good any English lessons are, it’s HOW people ACTUALLY USE the lessons that’s probably almost as important.

We’re going to be adding a lot of tips for learning English quickly here on this blog.  We’ll also be STUFFING the VIP section with the best stuff ever and including very specific study details and personal recommendations from Add and I.  Our goal is to make the VIP section better and better.  You might want to jump in now before the price increases.  We are putting a lot of “secret goodies” in there so it will be more than worth it.  MUCH MORE.

Anyway, back to today’s topic for learning quickly.  You need to get the right attitude for learning English.

A lot of people think the right attitude is something like, “study hard, don’t worry about making  a mistake, try to enjoy learning…”

Well, those things are great but they are not even close to enough.  The necessary attitude you need to develop that MOST PEOPLE DON”T HAVE, is a SENSE OF URGENCY!!!!!

What is a “sense of urgency”?  Good question.  It is a feeling that you absolutely MUST do something NOW.

I bet you know that you need to improve your English, but if you are slow to actually make changes to your study habits, it’s because you don’t really believe on a super deep level that you need to do it immediately.  That’s why it’s so easy to make excuses.  If you don’t study today, it’s not going to kill you.  What’s the difference if you start tomorrow, right?  WRONG!  This attitude makes logical sense but it will kill you, and it has been killing you.

You need to make learning English a MUST.  There is a big difference between something you “should” do and something you NEED to do.

You know should do a lot of things, (eating healthier, exercise more, study English in a better way, etc) but those things you “should” do are the ones that you won’t do often.  It’s likely that I ask you one month later and you still have the same list of things you “should” do.

A lot of new parents say that having a baby was something that made them do all the things they should do.  Taking care of a new life is something that makes people MOVE.  If something is just a really good idea, we just think, “ya, great idea, I really should do that” and then we go back to making no changes at all.  Think about your own life.  I bet it’s true.  I don’t even need to know you personally, I just know about human behaviour.  We are all the same!  (You don’t actually need a baby now, but I think you get the idea! LOL)

I hope this motivates you to actually DO something different, not just THINK about it.

As I said before, we’ll be writing more and more tips about learning English here on this blog and we’ll be adding LOT’S of awesome stuff to the VIP room on this and other topics.  We welcome you to join the VIP section and start really kicking ass in life NOW!

Hi guys. I really do think you should create a school with your way of teaching English which is the best I’ve ever seen. China232.com is perfect for me. But for example I would love to improve my speaking English your way of teaching. I’m pretty sure if you did it you would have a loads of students. I would be the first one! :)

you nailed it china232, I’ve been a bit lazy a couple of weeks now in studying English and I hate myself for that. Thanks for the blog. Time to get back on track:)

Hey PT, thanks for your awesome comment. I’m curious, do you mean an online school?

We are thinking of making some different programs (Some kind of SUPER VIP if that makes sense)

I mean any kind of school. You can open school close my house. Would me perfect :)

but: Can you imagine? “International china232.com- School for everyone, everywhere!” And then people are crazy about English, don’t care about how much money they need to pay for school they just see that’s the best way to learn English! I’m pretty sure it will work out!

    Hi,

I agree with PT! :) I need a native speaker to help me break the barrier. I can read, write, understand almost everything if someone speaks to me in English, I know a lot of words, but when I want to say something I forget it all. I can’t use what I have learned. In my town, there is no native speaker, so if you would be able to talk to someone “live” on the Internet would be wonderful :)

Hi guys, I’ve listened to many people’s advice about how to learn English FAST. However, I think yours is the best one. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!

    Hey!
I personally believe that the biggest problem with most of English Learners is that they usually know loads of words and expressions and they learn them from useful websites like china232, but they don’t use them in their everyday life and because of that, their speaking doesn’t improve that fast. for instance, I myself have tried to enlarge my vocabulary Knowledge as well as slang and Idioms, however most of the time I don’t use them when I speak to someone in English (that happens every once in a while since I live in a non-English speaking country) because I am not used to using slang and idioms.

You made a great point!! That makes me think. I think I should improve my english but i dont have the sense of urgency.Im gonna take it much more seriusly from now on. Thank you

I agree with PT too, you can make ur online language class like tutoring or stablish an institute to teach english in the classroom, you can make alot of money this way. In our country a very famous teacher got alot of money by just teaching or supervising classes in his own institute.

    Hello And and Add.

This text was wrote to me, I’m trying to learn english for so long time and I never reach the advanced level. I can’t even remember how many times I start and stop my english classes. Now I’m 40 years old and urgency its a nice word to define my situation.

For that people asking about, where they can found people to talk, I found it playing MMORPG. I’m joied in a NA legion and I can have fun and practice my english every day.

    Thx
    Cya

Hi, guys. I totally agree with this “sense of urgency” thing. But the important thing to remember is that not every single of us has it. And what is the way to actually generate that sense of urgency.
Some people think that setting IELTS certificate or that sort of stuff is going to create it for them, but again for how many of us getting IELTS is a goal?

I think the most vital thing is self-discipline. Not to mention that having a positive attitude is the key in language learning.

After all, not every one of us feels that sense of urgency.
