Countries with Fastest Internet

A couple of blogs ago I was talking about countries with the most people. Here is a list of countries with the fastest internet speeds.

It’s a bit harder to get 100% accurate information on this because I’ve seen different lists, but I think this one’s not bad. At least you get to see some pictures of the countries.

I know that Korea is definitely super fast. I am always amazed when I go there how awesome the 3G is. Best in the world, even on the islands. I really hope the whole world speeds up the internet. It’s so important for sharing knowledge, and of course, downloading 232.

I wanted to share this info with you in case you were interested, but more importantly I’d really like to know where you are from and how the internet is in your country. Is the 3G fast enough to watch videos? Is it getting faster? What are the government’s plans there for internet speed improvements for the next few years? Is 3G growing like crazy?

Here is the list I found: Countries with fastest internet speeds

Love to hear the news in your country!

Andy

    Hello Add & Andy

Unfortunately internet connection is not satisfying in our country, Iran. Only a tiny minority of people in major cities have access to wide band connection. Some political reasons causes this problem. Event though there are some private companies that are offering services and trying to make the situation better, their activity is also limited my government.

I have a HTC Android cell phone. I check mail frequently with the phone.

I hope the situation will get better by time.

I live in small town in Russia and we have no any 3G. In big city 3G good enough, but it depends of a particular city and district of a city. You know, Russia is huge, gigantic country, so it’s very difficult to do high-speed internet everywhere. In some place better than another.
I sure someone will tell about Internet in Moscow, I think they have very fast 3G and even 4G :d. We have joke here: “Moscow is not Russia” because people there live much better and have specific point view on the deferent things. But it’s just joke, don’t take this serious, we don’t have confrontation or something.

  3. Evgeny Says:

Shit, you are need editor messages here to correct mistakes and delete own comments. “Point view” that a mess! :D

  4. Agenobarb Says:

    Hi!

    Interesting topic :)

    You asked:

    > Is the 3G fast enough to watch videos?

Yes, it’s enough to watch good quality video on small screens like iPhone. But this is depends on amount of consumers: speed goes down in proportion as amount of consumers grows.

So, 3G is not the technology that provides us with the fast and reliable wireless internet that we need at the moment especially for watching video. But now there is a new generation technology called 4G (LTE) which is able to provide much more fast internet in mobile networks and as far as I know the fastest progress of distribution that technology we can see in the USA. The key reason of implementing 4G is popularity of iPhone’s and other smartphones. Let us see how things are going futher.

    Evegeny

    >Internet in Moscow, I think they have very fast 3G and even 4G

No, you are wrong, we don’t have here in Moscow stable 3G covering.

  5. Evgeny Says:

Agenobarb, yeah, I understand this, population in Moscow over 10 million, mobile operators can’t improve and update equipment quickly enough, because of amount of Internet traffic increase very fast.
Funny thing is our government already want develop 4G, but we don’t even have stable 3G in Moscow.

P.S. Agenobarb, my name is Evgeny (Евгений).

  6. Mehdi Says:

it is retarded of me that i didn’t know what 3G really is!!! Here we have GPRS which provide mobile users with internet service. I don’t know what the difference is.

I can’t imagine living in Moscow! before i connect to internet though 3G or 4G, i was frozen!

  7. emiliano garcia Says:

Internet speed in Mexico is OK, we can watch videos easily and download files as well. We can do that just in main cities, however.I got to say that I am from Chiapas, a state from Mexico, but in this city the internet speed is enough to watch videos and listen to you guys.

  8. colorcollar Says:

Not sure about internet speed in big cities like Shanghai and Beijing, but the medium-sized town I live has a decent 3G uploading speed. However, the connection is not stable. Sometimes, it drives you crazy by logging online a hundred times after constantly cutting off.

  9. majid Says:

    hi guys
I think you should probe that from different points of view.
    population,education,government,poletics and religion.
especially in islamic nondemocratic countries internet speed is low.
some authorities simply don’t want a fast communication way, they want to keep ppl in blindness.
when in IRan we don’t have access to Facebook or youtube(!)it’s silly to think about 3 G Internet

  10. Agenobarb Says:

    Hi guys, again.

To get more familiar with 3G technology you can refer this interesting post:

    http://jet-stream.nl/blog/2010/06/sorry-2/

It’s about how 15 consumers were simutaneously trying to use the same 3G. From there it’s easy to understand why 3G is definitely not the technology of future.

By the way, do you know that in 5 years 90% of all the network traffic will be video? Thus, podcasts are great but don’t forget about video :)

P.S. Evgeny, sorry for incorrect spelling your name.

  11. Mehdi Says:

    Thank you Agenobarb,

I think new format of video files show be invented to be more convenient in transportation by net. Even though, it doesn’t seem to be solution; because the result is the same: More network traffic.

  12. Mehdi Says:

    I completely agree with Majid,
in addition to existence of technology and funding, there are other factors that influence the situation of internet in a country.

    good English magid!

  13. sara Says:

Thanks Dear Andy for it. I should say although I agree 100% with Majid and Mehdi about internet in Iran but I should inform them that 3Th operator of mobile has been only established in Iran to provide 3G.although the winner of the tender is a company that is too close to government!!! but hopefully we will have 3G in near future.although only as a show-off, our government has to develop wide-use technologies at least in big cities of Iran. For I work in a big telecommunication company I can tell you that we have many experts in this field and only if they let we can move too fast.

  14. mehdi Says:

    hello!

Thank you Sara for good news! To be honest, I have not heared about it so far. It might have good effects on country’s developement.

  15. Aleksey Says:

I reside in Ukrainian city – Kharkiv.
We also have an internet connection with an medium speed. But the race of the technologies and internet providers will increase the speed rate incredibly soon.
Now over city is in the top 7 cities by the speed of the internet – about 40 mb per second.

Sometimes I wonder if people truly devote some time to publish something original, or are they merely dishing out words to stuff a website page. This without a doubt doesn’t fit that mold. Thanks for taking the time to write with appeal. Sometimes I read through a story and question whether they even proofread it.Very good work on this piece of writing.

I think everything posted was actually very logical. But, consider this, what if you were to create a killer headline? I ain’t saying your content is not good, however suppose you added a title that makes people want more? I mean Countries with Fastest Internet | China232.com Blog is a little vanilla. You might look at Yahoo’s home page and watch how they create news titles to get viewers to open the links. You might add a related video or a related pic or two to grab readers interested about what you’ve got to say. Just my opinion, it could make your posts a little bit more interesting.
