New Tiny High Tech Video Camera

I love really cool technology.  Sometimes it seems like a lot of cool new things come on the market at the same time, and then other years it seems like not much is happening in technology.

Who cares when a new camera comes out that is just a little lighter and better than the last model?  It is ok but it isn’t really worth talking about.  I love when I see something totally new and creative.

I remember when the first Ipod came out.  It was amazing.  Before those days, if you wanted to listen to portable music, you pretty much had to walk around with a “diskman”.  Some kind of portable CD player.  You could only play one CD at a time and you couldn’t go running with them or anything.

When my close friend, a music lover, showed me the first Ipod I couldn’t believe it.  I was so amazed that you could put thousands of songs into one little portable box and find the songs easily.  The songs never skipped and you didn’t have to worry about CD’s.  The Ipod changed people’s lives in a huge way.  They really made making listening to music and podcasts even possible.  If it wasn’t for Apple, I have no idea what Add and I would be doing now.  The “Ipod” was a game changer for both people and the Apple brand.  Amazing.  Now we all forget what life was like before Ipods.  At least I do.  Think of all the cool apps and all the other creative stuff that happened just because of the Ipod’s success.  If the first Ipod failed, then maybe we wouldn’t even have apps, podcasts, or anything that the new Ipods and Androids can do.  Who knows?

Now there is a new really cool trend going on but with Video recording.  Not a lot of people realize this but there is a major revolution about to happen.

The idea of video recording always sounded interesting but it was frustrating to actually do.  Most people don’t want to bring around their hand held video cameras everywhere they go.  Now our phones can take videos but the problem still is that we have to hold it in our hands.  It still disrupts our lives.

The new video camera I was talking about that I truly believe will change lives, much like the Ipod did, is HD video recording sunglasses.  Most brands are terrible and still make bad quality videos, but there is one super brand that is going to record unbelievably high quality videos using really awesome optics.  I used a test pair of these glasses and saw the video on my big TV in the living room.  It was really cool.

This is called “Point of View” video recording.  It means that if you are wearing the sunglasses, the mini camera lens on the frames will record what you see in real life.  It’s from your own “point of view”.  Obviously, if the quality is not good, then the glasses would be pointless.  No one wants to watch choppy video.  But imagine if your glasses could take video almost as good as what you see on real HD TV?  That is exactly where we are going.  Since the glasses are so easy to use, it now takes no effort at all to make a video.  This will change the game big time for making cool videos.

Here is a cool blog about the best mini video cameras

If you want to see the best brand, just go to Google and type in “best brand of HD recording sunglasses” and read about them.  I’d love to hear your honest opinions.  It’s a great topic for discussing.  Somewhere on the homepage in the article there is a link (in a yellow/orange color) to the videos and the way the glasses look.  Which ones do you think look the coolest?  I’ll tell you my favorite ones after I hear from you guys.  I’d love to hear some of your creative ideas for how to use these.

I’m looking forward to reading your comments and I’ll write back with some of my own ideas and we can keep sharing.  Imagine this for a couple examples.

Coaches can easily record their team’s practices and games.  They can then show the the players what they need to improve on.

Another idea is that university students can record a lecture from a professor and watch it a couple of times if they didn’t understand something during the class.  Also, students can share this video with their friends who missed the early class from sleeping in.  I certainly would have loved that when I was in school.

Let’s hear what you guys have to say.

    Good job everybody!

Although there is no way to look at progressions we make with contempt, what do we really want to accomplish with these toys? Dedicating every living moment of our lives to capture and document them and relive our past. Do we really need to exhibit pictures of our trip to Africa to others? I can find the absolutely best stuff anywhere I want or better still we can experience things first-hand in nature that lingers in our blood. I personally wouldn’t relish the kind of lifestyle that new technology has brought about. Why would I want to be present in the class? I can send my vedio recorder to class and work on it later on!! I’d say instead of worrying about keeping track of daily encounters, we’d have a less worrisome life if we really savoured our time together free from the interference of gadgets.I would go along with the idea of using appliances in our profession. to portray outside places to the general public and make them aware of the threats. Otherwise we would feel that we are being watched under the microscope. I wouldn’t want to lock myself up in a world of electric reality oblivious and cut out from human connection. Having said that, I’m using my Ipod, camera in my job, roaming around listening to stuff that can enhance my life and job. I don’t know If I’m a victim of technology. After all, it gives me a sense of purpose to make the best use of my time that I’m ususlly not active or tired.

First of all, thank you for letting us know about new tech things :) .

Yes, I think students would love this way of recording lectures! I’ve just imagined a classroom with cyborg students (because such cool glasses make you similar to a person from the future) and the face of their professor when he sees them for the first time :) .

I love gadgets, because they make our life much easier, they delete boundaries, quite often save our time if we use them efficiently :) . But, yes, we should try not to become victims of electronics, because it’s better to live in real reality :) , but not virtual.

As for the glasses, they might be highly appreciated at their true value by those who travel a lot, sportsmen, and those who record dynamic events and want to convey a sense of enegy and powerful motion of them. I mean sports competitions, horse racing, live performances, concerts, and so on.

Usually people prefer travel light. These two-in-one glasses are perfect for that. Your friends and relatives will see the most remote corners of the place where you were, sitting at home :) . Oh, this para is more similar to an ad :) . But I think I’d use them just in this case.

Has anyone ever met people from future? Well, here’s another idea. They are very simple-looking because it promotes equality and helps the society to be in equilibrium. However, it would be boring on the surface. we need to change.

As a matter of fact, I’ve had the actual experience of studying and working in a high-tech lab. It was only good for the first 2 months!

Compared to past, we are socializing less wtih friends and family due to gadgets like computer games and stuff… Don’t want to labour the point.

As far as I’m concerned, ever since I was a kid, setting up cameras on helmets, horses, on the board while surfing…. were commonplace!

I must love you and leave you guys. Love to hear from you more!

Not always the picture is bright because if you buy a new stuff that you do not badly need it, or as result of impulse buying you will for sure send the old one to the junk and as we all know the technological waste is a major governmental problem now days .We have to ask our self are we really need this new device or we under the influence of the advertising. It me seem that I’m trying to be smart by bringing this environmental issue but really we have to consider it and put it in our minds

Thanks a lot for the blog! And our professors don’t like when we try to record the lectures…I don’t tell you about video. That’s why it’s not matter new technology to apply by studying process. i’d like to say about my favorite camera, but i don’t like use one. don’t know why ;) )

Quite interesting topic you choose and I have to admit it’s totally new for me. The idea reminds me the move with the same name Point of View. Without doubt this new technology brings a lot of good things and will help a lot of people who wants to record moments. In the other hand I suppose we have to be careful when we use these kinds of technology in the classroom.I’m a little conservative in this issue. If the students can record all the classes and then watch it, I’m not sure but can create a “comfortable” situation for students and teachers will lost authority in the class rooms. I can be right, I can be wrong. The time will say what will happens. Thank’s a lot Canadian Brothers to introduce such great issue for us.

It’s totally cool! These are the stuff I wish I had when I was studying. I meant it would have made my life (our lives) a lot easier back then, right?

  12. Sedat Says:

    Hi Guys,

That is completely wonderful technology and it is really going to change our life.
Also i believe that it will make easear video recording than before. But if we look on the other side. For example illegal film sector. They can record all new movies very easy at the cinama and nobody can understand. ı think it will work better for recording new movies at the cinema and it is good news just for this people who is working in this illegal film sector. As a result we can say for this, this is really good and bad invention at the same time. it is depends on situaiton.

Hey guys, thx for keeping uploading a blog constantly!

what i just wanna say is that the most important thing when it comes to any tech may be wether or not its USEFUL and HELPFUL for peoplp in real life.

i saw an article about devastated in japan, specifically, about radiation..
this author talks about how japanese technology is so WORTHLESS…

YES, you read correct. The biggest technologycal country in the world, JAPAN. They’ve been investing and developing tons of attractive and cool robots, and mobile tools, u name it.

anyway, japanese needed a robot to check the situation inside the radioactive zone, where human wouldnt enter. Guess what? what japan did was that they didnt use Japanese robots but borrowed AMERICAN robots.

the reason is that japan always invest or develop these new robots as ENTERTAIMENT.. ; just for FUN. so they dont have useful robots for these kinda serious situation.. instead, their robots can do anything else like dansing, singing, eating, and sexing.. or whaever..

    anway my skypename is ryojitanaka1

feel free to call or chat:) alright

[...] love to hear your comments on this and about my last blog about a cool kind of high def video camera sunglasses. Business English New Technology Like this on [...]

  16. Lexi Says:

    Hi Inspector Gadget!
This recording sunglasses would be great for your next “Mission Impossible” but in real life? I don’t know if they are really useful.
Definitely not in a classroom. Imagine you as a teacher and you look into your classroom full of recording sunglasses wearing students. Would be creepy, wouldn’t it? You can’t see their eyes, no emotions. Do the listen or sleep?
And I’m pretty sure when you was a student that the recorder was already invented, wasn’t it? Why didn’t you record the lessons? You could have listened to it as often as you wanted. Okay the record doesn’t come with visuals but still…
What I wanted to say is that also years ago, in the pre-iPod-era, have been technologies we used and we loved! I remember my first mixed tape I got from a cute friend… Other story!
At that time we loved our “diskman” and we were pretty much cool! Today everybody has some kind of mp3-player. It’s not very cool anymore, is it?

Another thing is that I wouldn’t like to watch to a video from a journey which was taken by this recording sunglasses. Think about how often and how fast you are moving your head. This video would be very distracted. But because of that maybe not so boring like most “travelvideos” usually are.

But anyway, I love my iPhone 4, my iPod, my MacBook, my GoPro (the world’s best selling wearable HD cameras for sports) and of course my very new Sony Cybershot TX10! And I would love to have an iPad. Just for the heck of it! ;-)

Hi add & andrew, what’s up? hi commenters,
It’s useful tech to be honest but personally I’d like keep using my phone for this purpose.. I hope people don’t use the new technology against themselves!
interesting topic guys.. good time for you.

    Thanks,

  18. eliacim Says:

Quite good topic! The best way I can see this new kind of camera is that is going to bring us hd quality videos about interesting thins we are doing like trips to some odd places maybe an UFO in the sky (remember those crappy videos that seem always being just fake?) there are other things you cant apply it like being in the classroom recording a class or being at the job etc.. interesting now how much is going cost

Thanks for the helpful posting. It is also my opinion that mesothelioma has an incredibly long latency period of time, which means that indication of the disease may not emerge until 30 to 50 years after the initial exposure to mesothelioma. Pleural mesothelioma, which is the most common kind and influences the area about the lungs, might result in shortness of breath, chest pains, as well as a persistent cough, which may produce coughing up bloodstream.

Innovation in spurring civic activism should be allowed. its about participating in the process- its not bribery. its not telling anyone who to vote for or against. its saying we will help you if you learn and participate in democracy. its unfortunate it has to come to this, but the traditional ways are getting old fast. Our generation needs an incubator not someone preaching the old civil rights song of old- even thought its a great historical fact or progression- its not working anymore. Fashion, Technology, music and Video Games are what interest our young people. The law is based on the old Tammany Hall idea where people were forced to vote and captains were rewarded for getting people to vote a certain way. That’s NOT what this is TALKING about!
